And I join you in thanking God, the Universe, and Monet's persistence that he kept painting even as age crept up on him. Because Monet could still do the job. My growing fear is that the man who stands between our democracy and the democracy shredding machine may no longer be able to do the job. I have no answers about what to do about that except to keep hoping.
Denise, I actually think he can do the job. I don't think his mind is failing. I think his mouth is having trouble keeping up with his brain. Fingers crossed.
